Dog agility is a dog sport in which a handler directs a dog
through an obstacle course in a race for both time and
accuracy. When in competition, dogs run off-leash with
no food or toys as incentives, and the handler can touch
neither dog nor obstacles. Consequently the handler's
controls are limited to voice, movement, and various
body signals, requiring exceptional training of the animal
and coordination of the handler.

Agility is a wonderful way to build your dog's confidence,
your ability to read your dog's body language, and your
ability to direct your dog's behavior.  For those reasons
alone, agility is worth trying out.  But the main benefit is
that it is an extremely
FUN way for you and your dog to
practice communication.
I offer small group classes in beginner agility where you
and your dog will be introduced to the various obstacles
you will see on the agility course.  The class is taught in a
fun, relaxed manner with an emphasis on keeping the
dogs safe and ensuring that they enjoy the process.  For
those looking for advanced instruction I offer private
lessons.  I also rent ring time/equipment for those looking
to practice on their own.  I have a complete set of
equipment including an A-frame, Dog walk, closed and
open tunnels, Teeter, Pause Table, various jumps and
weave poles.
