Private Lessons
Simply the most efficient method of getting you and your
dog the information and practice you need in order to learn
quickly and effectively.  Private lessons offer you a low
distraction environment which is optimal for teaching and
learning.  By minimizing distractions to you and your dog,
you will experience increased retention.  Minimizing
distraction to the trainer ensures that they will be more able
to use their observation, experience and knowledge to help
you improve your timing, body language, and consistency.

Private lessons allow a completely customized, flexible
lesson plan.  A plan tailored to you and your dog’s
personality type, training history and specific goals is
significantly more effective than a preplanned “cookie-
cutter” group class.  The lesson plan can also be altered
easily if you have specific difficulties or have run into issues
since your last lesson.   You will never have to worry about
being left behind or getting bored with repeating something
your dog mastered quickly.  If there's a particular skill or
behavior that you want extra practice in, we can change
our plan on the fly.

Although the cost-per-session for private lessons may
seem high when compared to group classes,  you are
receiving 100% of your trainer's attention for the entire
lesson period, rather than having that attention divided
among many dog/handler pairs.
Training Camp
The perfect option for busy people and a great alternative to
boarding your dog at a kennel while you're away on vacation.
Cameron Canine Training Camp provides a jump-start for
owners whose active lives prevent them from putting in the
time required to teach their dog new behaviors.  Your dog will
stay with me in my kennel-free home, participating in several
training sessions daily and spending his entire stay learning
and practicing good manners and the fundamentals of
obedience.  Unlike most board-and-train alternatives, your dog
will spend his whole day with me, not a few training sessions
between long stays in a kennel.

Depending on the length of his stay, your dog will learn some
or all of the following:
  • Loose leash walking (no pulling!)
  • Sit, down and boundary stays
  • Sitting and waiting at all doors
  • Recall (coming when called)
  • Basic manners (not jumping on people/counters, etc)
  • Crate Training
There is a two week minimum stay, as I need time to produce
a satisfactory outcome.  To learn all the behaviors listed
above, expect a stay of one month.  At the end of your dog's
stay, You will take part in a 90 minute reunion lesson where
you can see what your dog has learned.  You will learn how to
help your dog maintain his training and how to prevent lapses
from occurring.  Also included is a one-hour private training
session to be used anytime within the 6 months following the
conclusion of training camp.  The behaviors that the dog is
taught in camp must be practiced in order to retain them.
Training Camp provides a head-start for training, not a
“trained dog.”  A behavior must be practiced regularly for at
least 4-6 months in order for a dog to integrate it into his long-
term memory.
In-Home Training
Looking for the speedy results of training camp, but
unwilling to part with your best friend while they learn?
Searching for something for your dog to do during your
long workdays that is more fun and productive than what
the local dog-walker offers?  Consider In-home training!  I'll
come by five times a week to exercise your dog's body and
mind, combining a walk with obedience training.  Your dog
will learn in your home and neighborhood, where he likely
needs the most help!  Each week includes a half-hour
catch up lesson for you scheduled on the weekend (or
whenever it's best for you) so you can keep up with what
your dog is learning.  You decide what behaviors need the
most work and I put in the time.  Limited service area.
